About Me

I’m a lover of words who is fascinated by humanity. I am a person who yearns for understanding and finds clarity and healing in nature. I love the smell of an old library filled with ancient books, the feeling of wind as it spins and dances around my body and through my hair, the freedom of feeling incredibly small in the vastness of wide open spaces, the voluminous sound of pure silence in nature, and the sweetness of savoring each of life 's moments however they come.

For as far back as I can remember I have had a passion for words. Written word, spoken word, singing words, even signing words, varying accents, different languages, and everything in between… anything about communicating thoughts from inside your head to inside the head of another person and vice versa – where there is a collective understanding of communication between humans. In this love for language, I came to be fascinated by humanity. Our ability to communicate so intimately, and the refusal of some to do so - it all intrigues me. There are so many different variables and complexities of humanity that I have yet to learn, experience or figure out. I want to know why we do what we do. What makes us who we become? What can I learn that I didn’t know before?

Somewhere along the way, as life began happening to me, I suddenly discovered that life stopped matching what I thought I knew. The things I believed to be certain, suddenly weren’t so certain anymore. That confusion left me curious and hungry for answers. It was in looking for answers, that I found the questions that changed my life.

After decades of wondering, reading, searching through multiple religions, philosophies, psychologies, travel, nature... anything that might give me answers, it was what I found that surprised me most. Life isn’t about finding answers. It’s about being willing to look at things differently, pushing yourself to evolve, and ultimately to flourish in life. It’s about learning, growing and improving.

That’s what I ponder here: that learning, and growing and improving; the questions that are worth asking. I don’t pretend to have all the answers; I just claim to be unsure enough to continue looking and learning.  If you came here seeking clarity then you might leave here unanswered, because in no way do I have it all figured out. I still have a ton of unanswered questions myself. But if you’ve come here wanting to search things out, look at the world differently and question things you’ve never considered before, then you’re in good company – you’ve come to the right place and I’m glad you’re here.

Whatever brought you here, I hope you leave seeing something in a different way than when you arrived.
